The vegetables are steam cooked.
I use a variety of herbs and spices to infuse flavour.

Mel's Favorite Recipes

  1. My favourite recipe is the Bobotie. Whilst cooking the dish, the different aromas of the spices fills the kitchen. It smells sweet with a curry twist. It surely does take me down memory lane, to when my grandma used to make bobotie. 
  2. A few of the ingredients I use in the Bobotie recipe are, fresh ground beef mince, 1 medium sized onion, 1 teaspoon of fresh garlic, 1 teaspoon of ground ginger, half a teaspoon turmeric, 1 tablespoon of apricot jam, a pinch of white vinegar, some raisins, 2 eggs and of course bay leaves.
